Reviews

{info} Customer reviews give you valuable feedback and social proof for each service you offer. Customers can leave a review and a star rating after completing a booking.

Review Lifecycle

Every review passes through a moderation process before it appears publicly. Here is how it works:

  1. A customer writes a review after their booking is completed. The review starts with a Pending status.
  2. The Reservai platform team reviews all new submissions. They check that the review follows the platform's content guidelines.
  3. The platform team either Approves or Rejects the review:
    • Approved — the review is published on your service page and becomes visible to all customers.
    • Rejected — the review is not published and is removed from the system. It does not affect your rating.

{warning} You cannot appeal a rejected review. If you believe a review was rejected in error, contact Reservai support.

Once a review is approved, you can reply to it publicly. Your reply appears below the customer's original review on your service page.

Understanding Statuses

Every review card shows a colored status badge:

Status Badge Color Meaning
Pending Yellow Waiting for the platform team to review
Approved Green Published on your service page; you can reply
Rejected Red Removed from the system; not visible to customers

Review Cards

Each review card displays:

  • The service image and service name the review is for
  • A status badge
  • A star rating (1–5 stars)
  • The customer's name
  • The date and time the review was submitted
  • The review comment

{info} Reviews with a rejected status are read-only. You can only reply to approved reviews.

What Customers See

When a customer views your service page, they see each approved review along with your reply underneath it. The reply shows your business name, your avatar, and the date you replied.

Tips for Writing Replies

  • Thank the customer for taking the time to leave feedback, whether it's positive or constructive.
  • Address specific points they mentioned — it shows you read their review carefully.
  • Stay professional and polite at all times. Your reply is public and reflects on your business.
  • Do not share private information such as phone numbers, email addresses, or booking details. Keep the conversation on the platform.
  • Keep replies concise. A short, thoughtful reply is more effective than a long one.
  • Respond promptly. Replying within a few days of a review being approved shows you are attentive.
