{info} Link staff-type resources to your team members' user accounts so they can see their own calendar and bookings when they log in.
When a staff-type resource is linked to a staff member's account, that staff member sees only the bookings assigned to their resource when they log in. This keeps each team member focused on their own schedule.
For example, if you run a salon with three stylists:
{warning} You can only link resources whose type is Staff to a staff account. A treatment room, salon chair, or piece of equipment cannot be linked — those are shared resources managed differently. The resource shows in the dropdown only if it has type Staff and isn't already assigned to someone else.
The Staff Resource Allocation page connects two things that already exist in your account:
| What | Where It's Set Up | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Staff-type resource | Resources page — create a resource and set its type to Staff | "Ahmed (Hairstylist)" — a Staff resource |
| Staff user account | Staff page — invite a team member to log in | Ahmed's login account ([email protected]) |
When linked:
{info} For this to work, the staff member's role must have its Scope set to "Own bookings only" for the Bookings and Schedule modules. See Roles & Permissions for how to set this.
The staff member can now see and manage bookings for that resource. A confirmation message appears and the allocation shows in the table below.
{info} If you don't see any resources in the dropdown, you need to create a staff-type resource first. Go to the Resources page and create a resource with type set to Staff.
The resource is freed and can be allocated to another staff member. The staff member will no longer see bookings for that resource on their next login.
